locale and gown

the honeymoon mansion is absolutely adorable. the photos on the website are very simple but without the green plants and silly decor, perfect. i hope. we're actually meeting them tomorrow at 4 to look around and discuss the wedding! it's finally happening, i finally "got on the ball" and called them. i also called jeeves & co. and we're meeting with them tues at 3:30 -- so excited! is it true that everything's actually going to work out like this? decorations and music coming soon.. i hope..

oh yes, i almost forgot that i found THE dress. it's absolutely amazing and ridiculous in every amazing way that it needs to be. it's also expensive, more expensive that my previous love which was very simple and traditional. everyone was crowding around me telling me how lovely i looked and how my face was lighting up with this one and not with the old choice. it's very unique! my consultant was adorable, she kept telling me "just choose the one you imagined yourself walking down the ilse in since you were little" , so that's what i did! i wont say more because i'm old fashioned in silly ways and i want ben to be surprised. <3

the bride and maiden

the bride's maid of honor has confirmed she can come to the wedding on a saturday! so alas, the planning date is sept 8. i hope that it works out that way.. i have also contacted my wedding and reception interests and hopefully we can meet soon and determine if these are the right places and if this date will work. i know i do things in a very slow way, but i usually do get everything done in the end. <3 i require much time and thought.

the illustrations must go back on board for the invitations and also the small items must be purchased. right now we'll worry about the bridal gown (i've got one on layaway and going to try on the spring lines in case) and the attire for maid of honor, groom and best man. i think ben and the best man go together for theirs.. so my brother and ben picking out formal wear is a litte scary.

i'm thinking my bachelorette party would be a better officially during the early summer in california with my best friend, aka, maid of honor. maybe a small week of fun and girl talk. PERFECT. then i can have a little silly party with my friends the night before like usual. we'll go dancing or karaoke or something i suppose..

i need more photos and plans of my food to show the chef next week. i'm hoping all of my wildist dreams will come true! what is a silly wedding without wild dreams?

my valentine evening of french decadence. honoring of my father's heritage and my own middle name. beautiful!

if i keep up with the planning, everything will fall into place slowly and surely..

a small favor

thinking about favors/favor boxes, invitations and printing... rethinking my colors from red to brown since i love desserts and brown screams dessert much more than red, desserts for decor! hurrah~!

oh yes, welcome to my wedding planner.. thank you blogger for helping me be more organized. i have a lifetime wedding planner, a treo, a laptop and tiny notes all filled with small ideas and lists and now this! ~yikes!

the title of our day might need to be changed to 'valentine afternoon' hehe, and maybe the reception 'valentine evening.' due to what? why this name? i'm so filled with happiness i chose a silly title for myself -- it ties in with our first dance, so happy.

speaking of favors.. this one is one i fell in love with, but it's so expensive! maybe i'll have to settle for little heart chocolates.. or (still too expensive) i could get one for the maid of honor, bridesmaids (if any), mothers of bride/groom and my sister as a special gift.. oi, but i wish [oh, how i wish!] the whole reception could have tea in them with cake. <3<3<3 these are ripped from my dreams!



there's also tiny ones (still high) in which you could place a cute chocolate or truffle inside. <3
